CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Our Commitment.

We are committed to the Circular Economy (CE) initiative by enabling our Customers to sustainable management of materials and energy by minimalizing the amount of waste generation and their reuse as a secondary material differing from “take-make-use-dispose” linear economy model. We do this at different stages of the customer discovery process in the initial stages by identifying with proven models areas where this can be implemented.

Wastewater Treatment:

A key aspect of environmental degradation suffered by our planet is due to the discharge of untreated or poorly treated wastewater that contain high level of biodegradable and non-biodegradable organic matter, metals, pathogens etc. In addition existing wastewater treatment is expensive and not sustainable. GC helps this issue by providing a Green Clean solution that minimizes the release of toxins at the source by breaking the organic compounds, pathogens etc while making the process Sustainable and cost effective.

BOD and COD in the Wastewater:

Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) are two of the most important parameters to characterise (measure the degree of pollution) of wastewater and after about 15 days of using the GC Biowater our customers were able to realize moderate to significant reductions in the levels of BOD and COD. This is crucial for a sustainable cost effective Circular Economy.

Circular Clean-in-Place (CCiP)

Introducing our Innovation with Circular Clean in Place (CCiP): Large-scale process industries are mandated by local regulatory authorities to deploy the best available technology to reduce their impact on the local environment. Existing CIP systems consume large quantities of energy, water and cleaning chemicals and generate large quantities of effluent requiring expensive treatment in wastewater treatment plants. Post cleaning the spent cleaning solutions have to be neutralised and broken down in effluent treatment plants. Using GC Biowater technology Direct savings, by way of significantly reduced usage of CIP chemicals by using the Circular Economy principles of recovery and re-use of CIP chemicals which lead to decreased operational cost of the recovery and remediation process achieved a return on capital invested in less than 3 Months which is a significant milestone for our customers and Planet Earth.
